I had the joyous moment of being able to tell my children that my books has received a national award. I wasn’t bragging, I was wanting them to know that hard work will lead you to rewards like this.

You too can get a few treats, and endorsements if you also work hard and apply to the many award programs.

My award is from the Reader’s Favorite Awards. It gives out awards every years for the top books in various categories. My category was Christian self-help. They sent me stickers to put on my books, and it will help in the sales of the books in the future.

I am so saddened by the recent events in the United States where the shootings took so many lives. The last one there were 20 children between the ages of 5-8 years old.

Why did these horrendous acts happen. Why would God allows this?

I can only say that our God is a livening God. he is such a loving God that He allows us to make choices, and then we have to face Him later for the decisions we make.

God will deal with the people who caused these horrible acts, and since some were little children, I am sure He won’t be very understanding with the people who caused their deaths.

God made you and I in His own image. he didn’t even do that for the angels. If he loves us that much, you can know that he wants only the best for each of us. You can also knows that he is very sad about the happens not only in the United States, but around the world.

Remember:

You are not alone.

You are not forsaken.

You are not unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

Having a blog or an authors site is a must for marketing in the day and age. With all the social media outlets, you need to have a steady place for your followers to go to where they can get to know you better.

Through your blog, you can talk about many things, and show the readers more about you. On your author’s site you can talk directly about your books, and promote them.

If you don’t have both going for you right now, I strongly suggest you consider it. WordPress is an excellent source to get started with your own outlet source for your readers. That is what I am using here.

My mother’s name is Grace. Her middle name is Angelia. Both those names fit her so well. She has been my pillar of strength for over 70 years.

She is still with us at the age of 95. She isn’t as “graceful,” as she was fifty years ago, but her constant love, and caring ways still fill my heart as I see her each day.

The name Grace is also another word for God’s reservoir of strength and protection.  Not occasionally or miserly but constantly and aggressively, wave upon wave.  We barely regain our balance from one breaker, and then, bam, here comes another!

We dare to stake our hope on the gladdest news of all:  if God permits the challenge, he will provide the grace to meet it.  We never exhaust his supply. “Stop asking so much!  My grace reservoir is running dry.”  Heaven knows no such words.  God has enough grace to solve every dilemma you face, wipe every tear that you cry, and answer every question you ask.

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all. How will he not also graciously give us all things?  (Romans 8:32).

Having given the supreme and costliest gift, how can He fail to lavish upon us all He has to give?

Don’t think God isn’t listening to your cries. He knows your hurts, and with His grace and love will see you through. Just like my mother’s love and grace see me through.

God’s grace is sufficient to take on all walls, and trials you face. Turn to Him when the dark clouds come.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!

I just bought a “generation 4,” I-Pad. I am kind of lost right now, but through trial and error I will do just fine eventually. I am trying to hook up the router today, but no success. Yes, I know, routers are one of easiest things to get started. However, I am a dinosaur when it come to computers, and electronics.

I have a friend coming over tomorrow morning to help me get everything hooked up. I even have a new wireless printer. I am trying to catch up fast, and when I have learned all of this I will be an official member of the geek squad!

It can be devastating when someone you cares about has a stroke, or a heart attack. I have three close friends have a stroke. One passed away. the others and mending slowly. I also had a dear friend that had a heart attack about five months ago. he was close to death, but God pulled him through it. He is so thankful today, that he spends much of his time praising the Lord, and giving Him all the credit for still being on this earth.

Have you had this happen to you? Has a loved one been stricken?

When it first happens, our world, as we know it seems to stop. We can’t function very well. We go into doubt, and even anger.

We have no control of the outcome. We feel helpless.

My father died in 2001, and I was at the hospital with him when he died. I just sat there by his bed, and felt hopeless. I held his hand, and he squeezed it once and a while.

Then he stopped doing that and he was gone. I had mixed emotions right then. Part of me was relieved that he wasn’t suffering anymore, and was at peace. The other part grieved that he had left me.

I know that many of you have been through the same thing.

I pray very hard for a peaceful passing of my loved ones when something happens and they know it won’t be much longer. I pray with earnest love, when they tell me that there is hope. I prayer for strength when they are gone, and I am left alone.

Do you see a pattern here? Prayer is the direct communication line to God. There are no rate fees, special charges, or long distance fees. He is on speed dial 24/7.

He is just a prayer away. He is listening. He cares.

Remember:

You are never alone.

You are never forsaken.

You are never unloved.

And above all…never, ever, give up!
